This year Black Writers Weekend is going virtual and that means our pitch fest is going virtual too. To confirm your slot for this year's virtual sessions, please fill out the form below and provide as many details as possible. We're asking each participant to submit their pitches virtually.

Submit one-page query letter talking about your project
Submit a five min video to further express your project

Submissions are due Sept 7th at 12PM EST

This is the first step and probably the first impression. Make it easy & simple.

Speak clearly and get straight to the point.
Time is of the essence, Grab their attention within the firts 30 seconds.
Keep it brief. Our panelists will receive additonal information on each participant.

Please submit a one page pitch of your project. We don’t need (or really want) to know every twist and turn of your plot – your description should simply expand on the plot and characters, and an idea of where the story is going. Definitely don’t feel as though you have to use up all of the 1,500 word limit. Also include some comparisons of books or films that will give an idea of what your project is about.
